PDF issue using Acrobat 8.x

I have the full version (Standard) of Acrobat 8.1.

The problem I describe happened all the time on 8.0, and infrequently on 8.1.

I'm using the COM interface. For some reason, when it prints certain PDF documents, Acrobat does not close properly after the PDF prints. From then on, I get the error that you need the full version to use COM. However I have the full version.

If I restart the PC, everything is fixed. However, that's not really a solutions.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bug in Acrobat. We are looking at an alternative library to handle printing PDF's at the moment.

Any progress/movement on the alternative PDF printing library? We, also, have intermittent problems where Acrobat's COM interface quits and won't come back until Acrobat and Mail Print are restarted (sometimes system restart is needed). Thanks!

We won't have a solution before version 2, at the moment we don't have a fixed release date.

Has the issue with Acrobat COM interface been addressed in 2.0 (in other words, does 2.0 now include a new/internal PDF library)?

Version 2.0 still relies on the full version of Adobe Acrobat, we are still testing libraries but didn't want to hold up version 2 for this.
